Potentially Suitable Locations in Federal Waters

EEA has identified potentially suitable locations in federal waters for commercial-scale wind, recognizing that the three-mile limit of state jurisdiction (and the limit of jurisdiction of the ocean management plan) is an artificial constraint to considerations of technology, economics, and environmental and social benefits and impacts. Further analysis would be necessary to determine project-specific issues and feasibility.
