Contact Faults, Minnesota, 2012
- Line file showing contacts between bedrock units and the location of, and apparent offset (locally with thrust faults) along faults and other dislocational structures. Most fault structures are inferred to be steeply dipping. Geologic contacts dip variably—typically near vertical-in Archean rocks and supracrustal and intrusive rocks in Paleoproterozoic Penokean fold and thrust belt and East-central Minnesota batholith; moderately shallow (5-35 degrees) in Paleoproterozoic Animikie basin and Mesoproterozoic supracrustal rocks, and varied in equivalent intrusions.
