EarthWorks Geospatial Catalog

Snohomish County, WA (Townships, 1997)

Description
The Townships data set contains polygons that depict Township and Range areas of the Public Land Survey System (PLSS). The resulting grid squares, roughly 6 miles on a side, are commonly used to reference general areas of the county and to orient maps. The spatial accuracy of Townships is lower than other PLSS data sets available in Snohomish County. This data set is useful for general reference on small-scale maps (i.e. scale < 1:100,000).
