South East Coast ; Sheet 7, Natal Nautical chart of the Colony of Natal coast from the Tugela River to the Umzamba River, south of the Umtamvuna River, showing soundings in fathoms, the location of navigation lights and beacons, and the presence of a range of mineral and other features such as pebbles, coral, gravel, rocks and sand. Figures on the land show the heights in feet above the sea's high water mark. Compass roses. North oriented toward upper left of sheet. Legend beneath title. Inset map: Aliwal Shoal / by Captain P. Aldrich and the Officers of H.M.S. Sylvia, 1884. Includes illustration of "Appearance of the land at half a mile to the west of Aliwal Shoal" between the mouths of the Umpambinyoni River [Blood River] and the Umkomass [Umkomaas] River. First published at the Admiralty, 1 July 1873, under the superintendence of Rear Admiral G.H. Richards, with large corrections March 1885 and smaller corrections up to July 1895.
