- The India Historical Boundaries dataset contains 14 layers representing decadal change in district and state boundaries of India ranging from 1951 to 2011. Each layer corresponds to decadal census activity and includes district socio-demographic attribute data such as total population, population by sex, and rural/urban populations. System requirements: Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software that reads ESRI shapefile format.
