Winged central figure points to two small maps: ORBIS ANTIQUUS (upper left) and NOVA ORBIS DELINEATIO (lower right), which includes California as an island on one of 2 hemispheres. See general notes. 1649, as State 1, but reissued with new date. Authore PHILIPPO BRIETIO Societatis IESU Sacerdote.
