- auctore Nicolao Visscher; N.P. Berchem invent; J. de Visscher sculpsit. Relief shown pictorially. California shown as a labeled island with a flat northern coast and some coastal place names. Nova Albion labeled at top. Stippling used for first time in general map to show desert in China. Hemispheres surrounded by vignettes of mythological figures referencing the elements, with polus articus at top center and polus antarcticus at bottom center. "N.P. Berchem invent." at bottom left and "J. de Visscher sculpsit." at bottom right. Issued in J. Jansson's Novus Atlas... .
