- Based on Huang Qianren's map made during the Qianlong Reign in 1767. Relief shown pictorially. Coordinates approximate and based on Greenwich meridian. Shows topography, drainage, political boundaries. Features Great Wall of China. Collector's note: The map gives a prominent portrayal of the Yellow River, with the river's source located correctely. An explanatory note on the map says," The River comes from the Bayan Har Mountain ... There are numberous springs at its source, scattering like stars. The water flows together to form the two lakes of Gyaring and Ngoring ... Also depicted in detail are the administrative divisions of the Qing empire ... as well as natural and manmade features like the Great Wall.
