- State 2, Variant: Undated and unchanged except for new dedication: To the Worshipful Jeffery Jefferys of the Priory in Brecknokshire. Coat of arms, pasted over the dedication to the Earl of Shaftesbury. Wagner 400; Tooley 26 (Plate 40),27,28; Leighly 55; Mercator Society (Plate); UCB; Burden 397 (Plate 397). Unchanged reissue of Sanson's 1650 "Amerique Septentrionale" as regards California, except that a tiny vignette of a deer is shown in the north of the island. Engraved by: Francis Lamb Sculp (lower left). Designed by Mousieur [Nicolas] Sanson Geographer to the French King, and Rendred into English, and Illustrated by Richard Blome By his Majesties Especiall Command.
