- Relief shown pictorially. Latitudinal and longitudinal lines. Coordinates are approximate and based on Greenwich meridian. Bar scale on map given in "Miliaria German." Shows topography, drainage, shoals, islands surrounding continent. Decorative cartouches. "616" at top left margin. On verso: P. Bertii Tabularum geographicarum contractarum liber quinctus, in quo Africa cum luculentis singularum tabularum explicationibus. Appears in Bertius' Tabularum geographicarum contractarum, published in Amsterdam by Cornelis Claesz beginning in 1600 (and many editions to 1650).
