- prepared to accompany the report of William P. Blake Geologist of the Expediton ; Lith of Sarony, Major & Knapp N.Y. The map covers the whole of the state but the geological description covers only the part of the state south of San Franisco. The geological sections included in the report are prepared by Blake based on surveys by Williamson. Honey Lake on north east California makes its first appearance on a printed map. Legend indicating geology. Bar scale given in "Miles." Shows settlements, drainage, marshlands. Appears in v. 5 of the Reports of the Pacific Railroad Surveys.
