California as an island of the Blaeu 1648 type, and with no interior features. Copperplate engraved. Dedication: "dedicato All'Ill.mo et Ecc.mo Signor, Il Signor Cavalier Giulio Giustinian Sauio Grande". Title cartouche in upper right on shell with supporting nereids and fruits of the sea below. "America Settentrionale" above cartouche. From: Atlante Veneto / Coronelli. -- Venice, [1691, 1695]. Shows route of Jacques LeMaire, 1615-1617. Fifty degrees separate Japan from the California coast.
