Maps show topography, drainage, islands, political boundaries. Decorative cartouches, illustrations. Descriptive text on maps. Map 1 includes astronomical observations. Map 5 shows the San Francisco Bay and the Spanish explorations along the northwest coast up to this time. This copy has pencil inscription inside front cover: Very rare Lopez atlas see map of N & S America. Marginalia on Map 5: 2nd printed map to show San Francisco Bay.
