- A set of national geographic databases of transportation facilities which include geospatial information for transportation modal networks and intermodal terminals, and related attribute information. Bureau of Transportation Statistics, U.S. Department of Transportation. Began with: 1995. "For DOS computers." Description based on: 1999; title from container. Latest issue consulted: 2007. Vols. for <2007-> have subtitle: A collection of spatial data for use in GIS-based applications. Latest version also available online. System requirements: 386 or higher IBM compatible with 512K available memory and enough hard disk space to hold the extracted data; DOS/Windows; CD-ROM drive; Geographic Information System (GIS) software required for full useage. Files are in ASCII format. 2001-2003 versions in ESRI shapefile format. Text and graphics. Also available in UNIX compatible CD-ROM format.
