- Topographical map of Natal showing districts, towns and villages, mission stations, houses and huts, inns, rivers, bridges, fords and drifts, lakes and ponds, marshes or vleis, mineral springs, forests and woods, thorn bushes, main roads, wagon tracks, ferries, wind mills, steam mills, water mills, coal seams, iron, forts and forges or smithies. Indicates the lands owned by African leaders. Also indicated is the territory of Faku, leader of the amaMpondo, ceded to the British government in 1850. Table of distances measured by trochiameter. Coordinates approximate and based on Greenwich meridian. Bar scale on map given in "Miles." Legend beneath title. "Outline by T. Kips. Hills by W. Wagner."
